Profile
Emma studied at the Australian National University and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, under the tutelage of Dr Sally Walker and Emma Sholl. She has also participated in several masterclasses in Australia and Germany under internationally renowned pedagogues and performers such as Andrea Lieberknecht, Denis Bouriakov, Michael Cox, and Stephanie Winker.
Emma is passionate about orchestral, wind, and chamber music performance. She has been a member of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra Kingsland Collective, performed as Principal Flute with the Sydney Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra in Stravinsky’s Petrushka under the baton of Fabian Russell, and most recently toured Japan and South Korea as Principal Piccolo with the Sydney Conservatorium Wind Symphony.
In addition to her performance career, Emma is a certified BodyMinded Practitioner (Alexander Technique). She was selected for the prestigious AYO Orchestral Management Program, after which she was awarded the AYO Arts Administration Fellowship in partnership with Opera Australia.
