Esmeralda Tintner hails from a lineage of musicians and was fortunate to be immersed in a world of exquisite music from an early age. The daughter of renowned conductor Georg Tintner and cellist Kathleen Tuohy, who studied under Casals, Esmeralda's musical journey has been shaped by esteemed mentors and prestigious institutions.
She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree with Honours in violin performance from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Music from the Australian Institute of Music under Alice Waten, and a Certificate Diploma from the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatoire in St. Petersburg, Russia, where she studied under legendary concertmaster Antonina Maksimovna Kazarina.
Esmeralda's professional experience includes performances with esteemed orchestras such as the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, and the Sydney Philharmonia. She is also deeply involved in teaching, having studied Suzuki violin teaching and early childhood music.
Known for her collaborative spirit, Esmeralda works with Australia's finest musicians on chamber music projects and is also a composer. Her compositions have been showcased at renowned venues such as the Sydney Opera House and various chamber music festivals across Australia.
Inspired by her daughter's violin studies with the esteemed Yasuki Nakamura, Esmeralda adopts the "Nakamura Style" in her teaching approach—gentle, loving, and fostering confidence in her students while nurturing their innate desire to play. She prioritizes building strong relationships with her students and tailors her teaching approach to their individual needs, guiding them from beginner to advanced levels with technical expertise and a deep understanding of repertoire.
Esmeralda's dedication to her students is evident in their achievements, including success in auditions and competitions. Her commitment to holistic musical education ensures that her students not only excel in performance but also develop a lifelong love and appreciation for music.
